Storage

Most of our bow ties are pretty rugged - like your jaw line.  Just store them in a hanging position (a hangar, a tie rack, your bedroom door knob) when not in use and hide any stains by tying in the opposite direction.

Ironing

If you've got the iron on already (you should every now and then) give your bowtie a freshening up by laying it flat on the ironing board/ towel on your kitchen table/ your bed and ironing it. Most of our silk and polyester ties will be happy on a medium heat setting. Our cotton and wool ties will like your iron as hot as you can get it and maybe with a little steam.  Pro tip: Your girlfriend's flat iron works just as well (make sure to check the heat setting).

Washing

If you get a doozy of a stain on one of our ties, just throw it in the washing machine.  If the stain is particularly bad, or if you’re wanting to be cautious, soak it in warm water with a little detergent.  Then, lay it flat to dry in a well ventilated area and let it dry.  Finally, iron it.  Really. Please. Iron it.
